This piece captures the ideas surrounding unending youth as it was created as an ode to my eldest brother’s life. I used bright, highly saturated colors to represent the beaming nature of childhood. Eleven years, which I was graced seven in friendship with him. Sunrise, beams, suddenness, resilience, not dwelling on what is beyond your control, and keeping a lighthearted outlook on life were some lessons I learned, and words I associate with my memory of him.
